It's easy! Turnitin is now integrated with Blackboard, the Babson Course Management System.

Create assignment for student work to be submitted against:

  1. From the control panel of your Blackboard course, access any of the content areas
  2. From the drop down list in the far right, select Turnitin Assignment and hit GO
  3. Follow the steps to add a Turnitin assignment
  4. Be sure to set the Display Until to a future date (such as the last day of the assignment or of your course) otherwise the item will be unavailable and you will need to modify it to set the right dates
  5. Direct students to submit their paper to this assignment

Check originality reports for student work:

  • From the control panel of your Blackboard course, select the Turnitin Assignments link
  • From this page, select the assignment you wish to view originality reports for
  • From the next screen, select the originality score/report link for the student work you wish to view

Contact CITG! If you have technical problems or questions, please contact the ITSD Service Center .

At Babson College, Turnitin is not being promoted or thought of as a policing tool, but as a student assignment development tool. This tool is one of many eLearning ePlatform tools here at Babson and CITG supports the technical use for faculty. Please contact your Babson Librarian to discuss thoughts and processes on how to mitigate plagiarism.
