Q: Can I use EDU with students in the classroom? A: Absolutely! Many professors have students in the room taking EDU assessments. Q: How to I prevent students from sitting together and taking their EDU assessment? A: While you can't prevent students from sitting in the same location, unless they are taking the assessment in class, you can use some of the wonderful features of EDU to prevent students from benefiting from sitting together. The features include randomization of variables within a question, randomization of questions within an assessment, and using two or more actual assessments. Q: Do I need to ease my students into using EDU for assessments? A: CITG and Babson faculty, suggest yes. It is recommended that you get your students used to EDU with at least one non-credit assessment so they can get a feel for how the tool works and ask any use questions before taking a credit assessment. Q: Is anyone here at Babson really using EDU? A: Yes! Pre-MBA and pre-freshman are using it to do assessments, languages are using it to do placements, IME is using it for diagnostics, QTM, SCN and ECN are using it for quizzes, homework and tests to mention just a handful! Q: Getting stated with EDU seems like a ton of work. Is there help? A: Yes! Help is here! CITG is at your service! Getting started with EDU takes you just a tad more time that is would to develop your assessment in Microsoft Word. Your responsibility is to develop the question content, send it onto CITG for EDU building, and then to work with EDU to review the questions and assignments to get them ready to use with your class.
